Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy ("Policy") applies to the reSet mobile application, and related services (collectively, the "Services") provided by 404 Archive LLC ("we", "us", "our", or "404 Archive LLC"). reSet is an alarm application that requires users to complete missions (such as physical movement challenges, photo-based tasks, or spoken or read passages) to dismiss the alarm. This Policy explains what information we collect from users of our Services ("user", "you", or "your"), including information that may be used to personally identify you ("Personal Information"), how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

By using our Services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Policy. If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use our Services.

Changes to This Policy We reserve the right to modify this Policy at any time. We will notify you of material changes by: (a) posting the updated Policy with a new "Last Updated" date, (b) sending notice to the primary email address associated with your account, or (c) providing in-app notification. Your continued use of our Services after such notification constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically.

Information We Collect

  1. Information You Provide Directly Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password. You may also provide a profile photo or username.

Alarm and Mission Data: We collect information about your alarm schedules, the missions you select, your mission completion status, streak data, and achievement progress. This data is essential to provide our core service functionality.

Communications: When you contact us for support at [email protected], participate in surveys, provide feedback, or otherwise communicate with us, we collect the information you provide.

Payment Information: We do not directly collect or store your full payment card information. In-app purchases are processed through Apple's App Store or Google Play Store payment systems and are subject to their respective privacy policies.

  1. Mission Verification Data (Camera, Microphone, Motion) To verify that you have completed a mission and earned the right to dismiss your alarm, certain missions require access to your device's camera, microphone, or motion sensors. Depending on the mission you select, we may collect and process the following:

Camera and image data: Some missions use your device camera to capture still images or short sequences of frames (for example, of your surroundings, an object, or your body in motion). A portion of this visual data is processed on your device for real-time guidance and a limited sample may be transmitted to our third-party AI verification provider for completion checks. Microphone and audio data: Some missions require you to read, speak, or recite a passage aloud (which may include affirmations, scripture, or other text you select). Short audio recordings of these recitations are processed for verification and may be transmitted to our third-party AI verification provider to confirm the mission was performed. Motion and device-sensor data: Some features may use your device's accelerometer or motion sensors to support mission interactions. Motion-sensor readings used for this purpose are processed on your device and are not transmitted to our servers as raw sensor streams. We use this data only to verify mission completion, deliver the requested feature, and diagnose issues. We do not use mission verification captures (images or audio) to build advertising profiles, and we do not sell them. Where verification requires transmission to a third-party AI provider, that provider processes the data under contractual terms that prohibit using your content to train general-purpose models and that require deletion or short-term retention only as needed to perform the service. See "Third-Party AI Processing" and "Sensitive Personal Information" below.

  1. Other Device Permissions You May Grant With your explicit permission, the app may also access the following on your device. You can grant or revoke each of these at any time in your device settings, and the app will continue to function with the remaining features available.

Health and sleep data: If you opt in, we may read sleep-related data from your device's health platform (e.g., Apple Health) to display sleep insights and personalize your wake experience. This data is treated as sensitive Personal Information, is used only for the features you've enabled, is not shared with advertising or attribution partners, and is processed in accordance with the platform's developer terms. Contacts: If you choose to invite friends, we may access your device contacts solely to let you select who to invite. We do not upload your full address book to our servers for marketing or profile-building purposes. Calendar: If you grant access, we may read calendar information to help schedule alarms around your events. We do not modify your calendar without your action. Media library: If you grant access, we may read selected media (such as a song you choose) to use as alarm audio. We do not scan your full library. 4. Third-Party AI Processing We use one or more third-party AI service providers to analyze certain mission verification inputs (such as images, sequences of frames, and short audio recordings) and return a completion result. When verification requires AI analysis, the relevant input is transmitted securely from your device or from our backend to the provider. Our providers are contractually bound to: (a) process the data solely to perform the verification service we request, (b) not use your content to train general-purpose AI models, and (c) retain content only for short operational periods (such as for abuse monitoring) before deletion, in accordance with their then-current data handling commitments. We do not disclose the identity of specific AI sub-processors in this Policy for competitive reasons, but a categorical list is maintained and additional detail is available on request to [email protected].

  1. Information Collected Automatically When you use our Services, we automatically collect:

Device Information: Device type, operating system version, unique device identifiers, hardware model, and mobile network information.

Log Data: IP address, browser type, access times, pages viewed, referring URL, and the date and time of your requests.

Usage Data: Information about how you interact with our Services, including features used, alarms set, missions completed, app sessions, and user preferences.

Advertising Identifier / Attribution Data: With your permission (where required, such as via Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt), we and our mobile attribution provider(s) may collect your device's advertising identifier (e.g., IDFA/AAID), install and event data, and limited device signals in order to measure the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns and prevent fraudulent installs. We do not use this data to build cross-app behavioral profiles for third-party advertising of unrelated products, and we do not sell it. If you decline the tracking prompt or use your device's "Limit Ad Tracking" / "Opt out of Ads Personalization" controls, attribution data will be limited or unavailable accordingly.

Location Data: We do not collect precise GPS location data. We may infer approximate location (such as country or region) from your IP address for analytics, fraud prevention, and tax purposes.

Cookies and Similar Technologies: We use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies on our website to analyze traffic, remember preferences, and improve user experience.
